lately

one more semester down. finished seawolf poster. 

yesterday i was able to talk to some 2nd graders about illustrating. it was pretty fun -you walk out of there a celebrity. i got told i was "so good" at drawing multiple times, and when i finished with probably some of the worst drawings i have ever done (one of a tutu wearing elephant riding a skateboard and another of a ninja-dragon wearing a butterfly shirt) the kids would all start clapping and oohing and ahhing. then when it was time for me to go, the kids had me sign those pictures that i drew.  

kids are great. really. 

last week i came home to a smiling husband. that usually means that one of a handful of things happened...

 either there is a great deal on some vehicle on ksl.com, 

he got invited to go on an extra hunting trip, 

he is a new proud owner of some of his own livestock, 

he and chuck played fetch with a giant log, 

or the fields are doing well. 

but on this day he wanted to show me something... 

turkeys.

then he informed that he ordered 60 -yes 60- pheasants that should be arriving sometime next month. 

and today there is nothing i can do to stop him from getting some chickens....  

at least they are cute while they are little. 

also, we have been planting big trees in our yard. out at the BDO, where jon works, there are a few trees that end up getting in the way and they just want to get rid of them. so me and jon find a nice home for them. so far jon and i have planted 5 in our own yard.

and finally, my brother is getting married this summer. and it looks like i might be painting and designing their invite. here's a sneak peek at a little sample i whipped up.

and might i add that i could not be more thrilled that kylie is going to soon be my new sister. we all love her. 

oh and jon let me buy a (very much needed) mac computer yesterday. love it.
