where dreams come true

jon and i packed our bags last week and and headed out with some friends to disneyland.

on our way, we stopped in las vegas for a day. lets just say, in the future, we will only be driving through. ha ha, i will admit, there were some neat buildings and things to see, but the overall taste it left in our mouths wasn't anything we enjoyed all that much.

not only was our room's heater not working, but we were also right next to the elevators and were constantly reminded that vegas really doesn't sleep. i woke in the night, listening to the rush of the elevators move up and down, unable to shake the anxiety it was causing me. longing for our bed at home, i pulled out my phone and began to look at photos. soon though, i found myself on nie nie's blog. as i was reading one of her recent posts, i noticed i was once again feeling at peace. she wrote about the same things i find important in life. i was put back in a place of comfort. i was reminded that it was, in fact, christmas time- something easily forgotten in vegas. (in fact, both jon and i felt best when we were in the mall. weird.)

i told jon, while there, that i wanted our next trip to be to jackson hole. ha ha. he quickly agreed.

we did however, thoroughly enjoy our visit to disneyland. we also thoroughly enjoyed the company we had.

december definitely coats the place in another layer of magic.

odd-man-out in a sea of blond beauties. amanda, stephanie, emily, and melissa.

once jon noticed i was winning, he brought his A game and put me to shame.

thanks for the invite friends!
