today

today the youngest barker boy left the farm, the family, and eventually the state of utah to begin his 2yr church mission in portland oregon. yes, i will admit that i did scream a little bit when he received his call and read out loud where he would be serving. (- i lived part of my childhood just outside of portland) i have to say i will miss seeing jesse around. who will be around to tell me how annoying my dog, henry, is? (probably plenty of people) or how annoyingly small my car is? or to just try to annoy me in general? (just yesterday -the last time i saw him- he tried to sneakily poke me in the cheek with some measuring tape...)

all in all im proud of jesse for making this choice to serve a mission and i know he'll do great in oregon. (lucky sun-of-a-gun)
